ODYSSEY ABLAZE

Odyssey Ablaze is a story following Ignis Stello and his pursuit of finding a purpose in life. On his mission Ignis goes through a wide spectrum of emotional and mental states, often doubting if he will ever be able to find what he is looking for. His odyssey is a symbol of the unavoidable struggles on the journey to a purposeful life, with every obstacle thrown in the way.

The Aftermath

As the dust settles from the storm,
I find myself alone, listening to the crackling bones
Burning and shattering , everything that is you
You, the wicked self of me
Burying you deep down where only a few have gone
You, my saviour,
You, my tormentor
Am I now at peace, I ask myself
Or was the unease of chaos my kind of peace
Do I already miss it, do I already crave for it back?
I mourn you,
Is it just for today or is it forever?

Crucifixion

I sit and stare in the distance,
Defeated a haunting part of myself,
Is this the end or is it just an instance?

Emotional Baggage

No way to win, loneliness knocked no matter the choice,
Left me with a heart of spikes, either way I pick it up it stings,
A sting of emptiness, helplessness and fear

A heart I have to carry until it’s fused to my skin,
Until it becomes a part of me,
Until it becomes a scar that can’t be hidden

A heart that was once soft as a cloud,
A cloud that even cupids were jealous of,
Now turned solid, heavier than the biggest mountain

A heart I’d choose to carry all over again, knowing everything that it was, is and could’ve been

Danger Zone

My past, pulling me back,
Back to a place that I ran from,
Inside me waking up the guilt of leaving,
Leaving my safe place, my comfort zone
Tempted to stop and turn back,
Constantly in a war with myself,
I step on the pedal as hard as I can,
In hopes that the rope would suddenly snap
I see a sign, a burning one,
Reminding me of the danger and doubts,
Giving me one last chance to stop and turn back
Or carry on and face the unknown that is the danger zone

That Ship Has Sailed

I missed my chance to look for you,
The only hope keeping me afloat,
Can't help but feel doomed like a sinking boat

Judgement Day

In quiet desperation, I kneel and plead,
Asking for mercy, a chance to be freed,
For the burdens of guilt, stuck in the depths I shiver and bleed,
I hear the voice of judgment "I know what you did, I know your every deed"
