Each piece in Strata reflects Ignis's journey, with the title symbolizing the complex layers of emotion that define his transformations.

Death's Scream

A beginning of a journey, a tale to be fatal,
Every sign was there, in its skull that is hateful.
A being that I’ve seen, seen in my dream,
Now It appeared, with it’s whispering scream.

“You’re time may be near, so make it very dear,
Do not try and cheat it, do not carry fear.
Eternal can be nothing, neither can be life,
As you’ll be sliced, by time's transient knife.”

Pure rage and despair, was all I could feel,
Facing my fate, creeping death would seal
“What should I do, with my precious time,
As I have yet, endless mountains to climb.”

Intestice

In the hush between dusk and dawn,
I meet my faith, towards a guiding Iight drawn
A somber shadow in blazing skies above,
Giving the sun its improvised glove

I hear a sonorous voice calling my name,
“Dear Ignis, if you fear death do not feel shame
I am here to offer you salvage, my curse of immortality,
In exchange for the blessing that is your mortality”

If that is a curse, it cannot be worse than my curse,
If I would decline, my anguished soul would burst
What a divine being that is this flaming winged horse
I accepted his offer with no remorse

Echoes of Eternity

On Eternity’s back, with eternity served
I ride beyond the edges of the impure world,
Ethereal sites no one of my kin has ever seen
Places you cannot imagine even in your wildest dream

My stained heart pumping boundless joy,
Wiped away dismal feelings that can destroy,
For now I dance upon the edge of fate
Embracing every drop of pristine life I can take

Yet in my joy, I hear a whisper thin and slight,
The gloom of death that is just out of sight,
Casting a shadow of doubt if the immortal may fall
“You cannot see that the writing is on the wall.”

Hidden in my robe, protected by my bone
My only light in my lifeless life
A purifying soul to purify my soul

A Lullaby for the sinless and repentful
And dismay for the wicked with no shame
I’ll keep performing until there’s no evil left
Until there’s no bone in my bare body left

Happy Place

Tears streaming down my masked face,
As I found something that is my happy place,
Something to love and cherish as my own,
Without the fear of my knackered bone

Blade of Judgement

It all started from here,
As the blade of judgement pierced through my fear,
Condemning my descendants on the eternal curse,
A curse said to be impossible to burst,
Flaming skulls, pale skin, futile paths
An odyssey filled with merciless bloodbaths
I ask myself, Is there a way, a way to lift this burden?
A way to come out from behind the shameful curtain
